This instructive mansucript concerning geography and mathematics was created by Thomas Fantet de Lagny of the French Academy of Sciences for the daughters of the Comte de Pontchartrain, whose seal is on the cover. It is in French and believed to have been written in 1727. The binder's title is "Trait de la sphere," and the volume is illustrated with tables and diagrams. Sections include: "Elemens metaphysiques de la science des nombres" and "Methode nouvelle pour la division."
